Centuries old agricultural traditions impart a unique character to the fertile valley of Orba and Jalon with fields of olive trees, vineyards and almond trees.
A combination of the fertile plains of the valley, the surrounding mountains and the distant sea views provide an area of outstanding natural beauty, a place to relax and enjoy away from the hustle and bustle, yet less than 30 minutes drive to the coastal amenities and beaches.
The two main towns of Jalon with 2,000 inhabitants and Orba with 1,500 inhabitants, provide the facilities and amenities to enjoy everyday life. These are complemented by numerous small white walled villages nestling in the valleys and the foothills of the mountains, carefully preserved to encapture the character of the traditional Mediterranean village. There are a number of Bodegas producing and marketing the local wines, affording visitors the opportunity to sample and buy the wines, whilst soaking up the atmosphere amidst the great wine barrels of seasoned wood.
The valleys also offer the discerning diner an excellent choice of traditional and international restaurants.
